Project Description

The Clients for this custom residence hired the Mantell-Hecathorn Builders Team based on our long history of Personal Attention, daily oversight, and their integrated design-build approach. Featuring panoramic views to the Southwest of the La Plata and north up the Animas Valley, this home is truly spectacular. The Modern Design with elements such as the unique soft arch roof, steel beams and timber accents are balanced by an elegant blend of stone-wood and stucco.  The combination makes this home stand tall in the neighborhood.

"After buying our lot and interviewing a number of local builders, we selected Mantell-Hecathorn Builders as our first choice. Our goal was a Durango home that was built according to green standards of excellence and high energy efficiency. Together with architect Brian Huff of Reynolds Ash and Associates, Greg and Hunter Mantell-Hecathorn were attentive to our goals during the design process that resulted in an open concept dining, living space, and studio linked to an incredible kitchen. This design and construction team made certain our home was placed on the lot to maximize the views of the La Plata Mountains with a deck that is seamlessly connected to the living space. All aspects of the build were of the highest standards. Through personal meetings, phone calls and video conferencing, we were able to collaborate in all aspects of the interior design, which is spectacular and fits our lifestyle exactly. We have the highest regard for Mantell-Hecathorn Builders and recommend them most highly"
