Project Description

This spectacular home was designed by Barrett Studios in Boulder, Colorado. Our clients wanted a jaw dropping design that incorporated the views of the 12,000 foot mountain peaks just across the valley. MHB President, Hunter Mantell-Hecathorn worked intimately with the owners and Mountain Modish Design to make product selections that are both elegant and stunning. 

The combination of creative architecture and M-H builders expertise in Certified High Performance Building has created a home that will last for generations. Massive triple-pane windows and doors result in a comfortable draft-free home whether its -10° or 85°. The HERS rating of 47 means this home is 53% more energy efficient than a typical Durango home built to county code.

Like all M-H Builders homes, this residence is built and certified to DOE ZERH. MHB is the only builder in SW Colorado that builds 100% of homes to the ZERH standards. The Department of Energy ZERH rigorous requirements results in a home that is ultra energy efficient, guarantees healthy indoor air quality, incorporates non toxic products, and is overall more comfortable and durable, with less longterm maintenance.
